A new index which ranked global download speeds revealed that the Philippines has one of the slowest and most expensive broadband services in the world.
Averaging only around 3.64 Mbps, the next administration and government should do something about our internet. Pass a bill, impose fines and do memorandums to internet service providers and not be taken back with their monopolies in the tech world.

Lawmakers yesterday called on Interior and Local Government Secretary Manuel Roxas II and other Cabinet officials to resign ahead of next year’s elections.
Reps. Rodel Batocabe of Ako Bicol party-list and Winston Castelo of Quezon City said Cabinet officials seeking to run for various posts in the 2016 elections should resign now to prevent possible abuse of their positions.

President’s favor is important

The President’s endorsement is very significant because of his trust rating from the latest SWS survey. Drilon said that Aquino’s rating raise up significantly and it is the highest rating on the last year of the incumbent presidency. MANILA — Vice President Jejomar Binay sent an official letter to Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III and told him to be a man and do well in his call for an audit of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC). Binay sent the strongly worded official letter dated June 24 and mentioned that Pimentel’s call for an audit is part of his demolition campaign against the Vice President.
